Nordic Conference Timeline

This year The Nordic Art Therapies Conference celebrates the creative and expressive arts in its place of origin, Iceland. Inspired by an Art Therapist, Sigridur Björnsdóttir, in 1973, the conferences has expanded and become more inclusive. The conference now welcomes all creative arts: Art, Dance, Drama, Music, and Poetry.

The first seminar held in Reykjavík, 1975 was an invitation for international collaboration. This forum produced the opportunity to dig deeper in important issues that affect the Creative Art Therapies and allowed for spontaneous exploration during the seminar.
